It’s been a couple months since I’ve had the chance to update my work. What have I been up to, you ask? To be honest, I’ve found myself at my most creative peak and so immersed into my work that I haven’t had a chance to stop and process it all. Running around Miami creating content for Prism Music Group, meeting great people and tasting new food along the way has been an amazing experience. When you do what you love, it just works.
My culinary creative bestie, that I previously spoke about made it down to Miami this past weekend to launch her amazing ice cream sandwiches. It was a concept always in the works and thanks to the push of a couple of her besties, we made this thing happen.
Food prep, concept ideas, Instagram posts, it happened. Katie, aka KatieFresca, debuted her homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches at The Wynwood Yard at a day drinking event curated by Prism Music Group and Della of DellaBowls. Katie had three flavors to offer: key lime pie, guava coco, and the classic chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. They-were-a-hit! 🙂
Where did Spring go? Summer is here!
If you were in Miami this past weekend, you probably heard the buzz around town on #SOBEWFF ::Clears throat:: South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Another reason, to eat and drink and eat and drink and party. Hello, party in the city where the heat is on.
My very good friend was in town this weekend for the yearly event. She is what I like to call, a Culinary Creative. Think of this: she takes amazing pictures of some of the best food in top cities like NYC and Miami, is an amazing chef (she’s starting to do pop-up dinners in different cities) and she leads the social media department for a restaurant PR and media agency in NYC. Let me just call her, the best foodie friend you could have.
Thanks to her, we spent our Saturday over at The Broken Shaker indulging on an amazing brunch for my roommates birthday and tasting some Odd Fellows NYC boozy ice cream. Yes, “boozy ice cream”. My favorite? Rose Sorbet. Odd Fellows is an ice cream company based out of Brooklyn New York and because of Sobe Wine and Food Festival, they held a pop up all weekend at the shaker.
More of a reason why I love this city. Good Food, Good Company and an NYC pop up? I’m in!
What happens when Veuve Cliqout decides to throw a Carnaval themed party in the heart of Downtown Miami? Your Saturday afternoon turns into an impromptu dance party.
As I grabbed two of my friends, Seba and Carol, and headed to Museum Park we didn’t know what to expect. (Anything with champagne is a good time) Little did we know we’d be experiencing one of the best daytime parties so far this year.
Five days after the New Year and I’m still talking about how amazing my NYE was. Smiles and laughter filled the air. Everyone looked crisp in black and white. Excitement was buzzing for 2016 to finally arrive. Champagne was literally, flowing. There was a live band. There was a DJ. You name it. Is this real life?
I called a good friend to attend the party and take some pics since I knew we’d all be too busy having, what I didn’t know would be, the time of our lives.
Cheers to 2016! The best is yet to come!
Noche Buena has arrived, (Noche Buena is ‘Christmas Eve’ in spanish) and I found myself starting my day early. My dearest food photographer bestie has arrived from New York which means, I’m restaurant hopping with her all through break. Bring on the calories! (and the good food) The gift giving has begun and I’m going on hiatus for the next two days. Hiatus, as in…I’ll be drowning myself in coquito tonight and chilling at my mama’s house all tomorrow. Did someone say, leftovers?
another blog? maybe. For those of you that know me, or don’t know me, know that well, face it…i’m always on my phone. I’ll admit it, it’s true. But, I can say that for the past couple of months I’ve been trying to figure out what it is that I can do to “showcase” what I am inspired by on a day to day or the amazing people that I am surrounded with.
Always at the forefront of what’s “in”, cool new spots to eat, hang, dance, or lay low…that’s me. I’m a people person, yes. Introduce me to as many people as you know, I’m one that pretty much gets a long with anyone and intrigue me with your passion. However, my passion which is what some people like to call ” a millenial thing”. It’s not your daily 9-5, which people may find uncomfortable.
I have my daily routine, but inspiration and ideas tend to distract me from the norm. It took a little (ok, a lot) of self motivation to reach out to some pretty cool people and accept that i wanted to create my little creative hub and share it with everyone….errrrr my friends.
One day, you may see who I’m hanging out with, other days what i’m wearing, you may see the plate I’m eating, or on a rare occasion…where i’m traveling to. No matter who I am with, where i am at, something catches my eye and that’s my little source of inspiration.
I’ve become comfortably uncomfortable with inhaling all this inspiration and now I would like to spill it out and invite you to follow me on my mini journey.
